Version 2.11.0 (released 01/22/2019)
Here are some of the highlights of recent releases:
- Released the official MDS Web Component beta package for testing. You can track our progress across the UI component library on the component status page.
- Published documentation on getting started with MDS Web Components and created a video tutorial walking through the installation process.
- Published extensive documentation on web components, including building a web component, web component coding standards, and MDSWC Base API documentation.
- Added a requested parts section to highlight and track community-requested features and components.
- Added a Message-Design Framework to help teams craft messages within their product.
- Published a Search UX Pattern.
What’s Next?
In addition to coordinating and supporting adoption and continuing to maintain and extend existing library items, the MDS team is actively working on:
- Building the remainder of the UI components as MDS web components.
- Establishing and documenting our principles for adding animation to product experiences.
- Providing responsive and touch-friendly variations of our UI components.
- Exploring the encapsulation of styling within components.
- Expanding, improving, and documenting our contribution process.
